Nelisiwe NXUMALO Eswatini Revenue Service

Nelisiwe Nxumalo, Manager of Origin at the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS), a semi-autonomous revenue agency, is responsible for overseeing all origin-related issues for over 70 registered exporters, ensuring that exported goods receive preferential treatment in destination countries. In addition to managing the origin unit, she ensures that concessions are awarded according to relevant legislation and to deserving traders. Driven by her 10 years of experience in origin, Nelisiwe has been instrumental in furthering the ERS strategic theme, "To accelerate digitalisation of operations to ensure efficiencies in revenue collection and trade facilitation." She led the Eswatini team to become one of the first three countries to implement the electronic version of the certificate of origin for the SADC and COMESA Regions. Her passion for marketing drives her to bring satisfaction to her clients by adopting global best practices that enhance the efficiency, security, and reliability of systems used in promoting trade facilitation.
