Aissata YAMEOGO KOFFI ECOWAS COMMISSIONHead of Division Tariff and Customs Procedures

I am the Head of Division in charge of Tariff and Customs Procedures at the ECOWAS Commission. With almost twenty (20) years of professional experience including 15 years at the Customs Union and Taxation Directorate of the ECOWAS Commission, I have actively contributed to the consolidation of the ECOWAS Free Trade Area, and improvement of intra-Community trade indices in the West African region. As part of my responsibility, I monitor and manage the Preferential tariff treatment christened ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme (ETLS) in our region. From the technical point of view, I am responsible for the implementation of ECOWAS rules of origin and ensuring conformity with Community protocols in intra-community trade within the ECOWAS market space and lately, I launched the electronic certificate of Origin in ECOWAS. Lastly, as part of my responsibility, I oversee and monitor the ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET), the ECOWAS automated Transit System (SIGMAT) and other Customs Procedures within our region.
